Ruben Amorim highlighted Zirkzee’s dedication and effort on the pitch, acknowledging the contributions he makes to the team’s overall performance.
Since joining Manchester United from Italian Serie A club, Bologna during last summer’s transfer window, Zirkzee has faced some challenges, including a mixed reception from supporters during the recent Premier League match against Newcastle United.
In the said game which ended in an unexpected 2-0 defeat, he was substituted in the first half. However, he showed resilience by contributing during the closing stages of the recent 2-2 draw with Liverpool.
With reports suggesting a possible return to Serie A, Amorim addressed Zirkzee’s future in a talkSPORT interview, saying: “I want to keep Josh because he demonstrates commitment and hard work in training.
“The transfer window is open, so we will see what unfolds, but our focus must be on training and preparing for upcoming matches. It’s important to remain positive and concentrate on our performance moving forward.”
Despite having scored three goals for the Red Devils across all competitions so far, Zirkzee is determined to find his form and contribute even more to the team’s success.
