Karan expressed these views on the Sky Sports YouTube channel following Osimhen’s performance in Galatasaray’s recent 1-1 draw against Hatayspor.
Although the Nigerian international scored his fourteenth goal of the season across all competitions, he faced challenges in maintaining his usual performance level at the Mersin Stadium.
During the match, Osimhen had several opportunities but was unable to convert them into goals, registering a total of six shots with only two hitting the target.
Karan acknowledged Osimhen’s impressive technical skills but pointed out his finishing and ability to navigate Hatayspor’s offside trap could improve.
“Victor Osimhen is an athletic and talented footballer with great potential,” Karan remarked. “However, he had some missed opportunities during the match that highlight the need for further development in his finishing, especially as he works to overcome offside challenges.”
Currently, with eleven league goals, Victor Osimhen is positioned behind Krzysztof Piątek and Simon Banza in the Turkish league scoring charts, as Piątek has netted thirteen goals and Banza has twelve.
