Former Chelsea striker, Chris Sutton, has shared his predictions for the second round of Premier League fixtures, tipping his old club to collect all three points at the London Stadium later tonight, August 22.

While Arsenal will be motivated by Sutton’s confidence in their clash with Leeds, the club suffered a minor setback in the registration of new signing Eberechi Eze.

The Gunners failed to beat the 12:00pm Premier League deadline on Friday, meaning the 27-year-old midfielder is ineligible to feature against Leeds this weekend.

Eze, who is set to join the Gunners in a dramatic £67.5 million move hijacked from Tottenham, spent Friday completing his medicals and signing a five-year deal at London Colney.

He was also left out of Crystal Palace’s Europa Conference League squad on Thursday, further fuelling anticipation among Arsenal fans.

Supporters will now have to wait until Arsenal’s trip to Liverpool on August 31 for his official debut. However, there is a chance Eze could be formally presented to the Emirates crowd before the Leeds game on Saturday evening.

The former Crystal Palace star becomes Arsenal’s third-most expensive signing, underlining the faith Mikel Arteta has in him to transform his midfield options.
