The new contract Maduka Okoye signed with the Italian club Udinese will keep him at the club until June 30, 2028. This contract extension has put an end to the speculations about his future with the club.
Maduka Okoye, who joined Udinese from Watford in 2023, has proven himself with 22 league appearances last season, establishing himself as one of the best-performing goalkeepers in the Italian top flight.
Meanwhile, Super Eagles goalkeeper Stanley Nwabali could remain at his South African club, Chippa United, beyond this summer.
Nwabali has been the subject of interest from clubs in South Africa, Saudi Arabia, and Europe, but has returned to Chippa United with no firm offers on the table.
Chippa United’s assistant coach, Thabo September, expressed his desire for Nwakali to move forward in his career but emphasized that the player remains committed to the team unless a compelling offer is made.
“We all want Stanley to go to the next level, forward to the bigger things. That’s why he plays so well so that he can get a bigger move. From the management, the chairman, and us as coaches and players, we want that to happen, but at the moment, he’s here with us, and he’s a professional,” September told FARPost.
“He’s working for that moment, and when that moment happens. He’s a professional and is training well, and if that doesn’t happen, he’s looking forward to playing in the PSL for Chippa United, but me as a coach I don’t know if there’s anything on the table.”
