Following his arrest, chats surfaced where he expressed ‘genuine concerns and high hopes’ for the victim’s return. The suspect further enquired about Christianah’s situation from the friend on the other end of the chat who affirmed that a ransom was being raised.

In another part of the chat, he expressed concerns for the safety of others, urging the chat buddies to take a look out for themselves and walk in groups.
