Naija News reports that this announcement was made by the Board’s Chairman, Professor Raheem Adaramaja, on Tuesday.
Adaramaja noted that the recruitment process will be informed by a needs assessment that was recently conducted across all 16 councils in the state.
A statement issued by the Board’s Press Secretary, Atere Ameenat, indicated that this recruitment initiative follows the approval of Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq to address vacancies arising from retirements, deaths, or transfers to other states.
The statement also highlighted that a community-based approach will be utilized for the recruitment process, ensuring that competence and qualifications remain a priority.
“Recruitment is going to take place at the local government level or at the nearest communities/villages where their services are greatly needed.
“Successful candidates will sign a bond of non-movement or transfer from their new place of work for the first 5 years — a condition that is based on the experience of teachers not staying in the hinterlands,” the statement said.
The chairman stated that the initiative is in accordance with the governor’s dedication to enhancing the educational sector, particularly at the community level.
The SUBEB chair further noted that the initiative will continue for a duration of three weeks from the start date.
