The governorship candidate of the Social Democratic Party (SDP) in the November 2023 Kogi State election, Murtala Ajaka, was attacked at the Supreme Court on Friday.

Naija News gathered that Ajaka was attacked by suspected hoodlums shortly after the court declared Usman Ododo of the All Progressives Congress (APC) as the duly elected Governor of the state.

As earlier reported by this platform, the Supreme Court dismissed the appeal filed by Ajaka and his party for lack of merit and substance.

Justice Sadiq Umar, who read the lead judgment, held that most of the allegations were pre-election matters that should have been taken to the federal high court for resolution before the election.
