From 2 p.m. on Saturday, January 25, to Sunday, January 26, the NPFL matchday 20 will take center stage across Nigeria.

Recall that following the first stanza of the 2024-2025 NPFL campaign, Remo Stars sat on top of the league table with 36 points in 19 games, two points above second-placed Rivers United.

The other two clubs in the top four are third-placed Shooting Stars with 33 points and fourth-placed Enugu Rangers with 31 points.

In the bottom four, Nasarawa United is sitting in the 20th spot with 16 points, Akwa United is sitting in the 19th spot with 19 points, Lobi Stars are occupying the 18th spot with 20 points, while Plateau United is 17th with 20 points.

These teams are condemned to do better in the second stanza of the NPFL campaign to stand a chance of remaining in the top flight.

While the bottom four clubs will be battling to escape relegation, the top four teams will be slugging it out for the league title.
