Enyimba FC defender has expressed his overwhelming feeling after scoring the winning goal for the Peoples's Elephants vs Lobi Stars FC on Sunday, November 20.

That win was hard-fought as Enyimba FC had to wait until the 87th minute to find the breakthrough.

Coach Finidi George tutored Elephants dominated proceedings at the Enyimba Stadium Aba but found goal-scoring a problem.

Lobi Stars FC defended with all their might and at some point had all eleven players in the penalty area until a fierce throw-in penetrated the area to the head of Enyimba's skipper for the game, Somiari.

Right-back, Unwana Asuquo threw the ball long into the area for Alalibo Somiari to head-home to spark raptourous celebration inside the Enyimba Stadium.

It finished Enyimba FC 1-0 Lobi Stars FC, important win for the reigning Nigeria Premier Football League champions.

In an exclusive chat with SPORTSRATION after the game, Alalibo Somiari who is never shy of responsibility said he was happy to have scored the crucial winner.

” I its overwhelming, ” Somiari said of his feeling after the goal.

Enyimba FC have now secured 10-points from seven games this season and have two outstanding matches to play to equal other teams in the nine-weeks old 2023/2024 Nigeria Premier League season.
