Shakira and Burna Boy’s global hit Dai Dai continues its impressive run on the charts, maintaining the No. 1 position on the Billboard Global Excl. U.S. Chart while remaining one of the biggest songs worldwide.
According to Luminate, the record recorded 40.3 million global streams and 5,000 units sold worldwide during the tracking period of August 14–20. While streams declined by 9% week-over-week and sales dropped by 18%, the song remained strong enough to hold its position at the top.
Outside the United States, Dai Dai also maintained its dominance on the Billboard Global Excl. U.S. Chart, recording 34.4 million streams and 3,000 units sold during the same period.
The collaboration first reached the summit of the Billboard Global 200 in mid-July and quickly became one of the defining global hits of the year. Combining Shakira’s international pop appeal with Burna Boy’s signature Afrobeats sound, the record has connected with listeners across multiple markets.
The continued success of Dai Dai further highlights the power of global collaborations and Burna Boy’s growing influence as one of Africa’s biggest music exports.
With its chart reign still intact, Shakira and Burna Boy’s Dai Dai continues to make history on the global stage.
