With the achievement, Ojuelegba becomes the 92nd Nigerian song to cross the 100-million-stream mark on the platform, further cementing its status as one of the defining records in modern African music.
Originally released in 2014, the song played a pivotal role in introducing Wizkid‘s artistry to a global audience. Its heartfelt storytelling, inspired by his early struggles and journey to stardom, continues to resonate with listeners more than a decade after its release. The track’s international profile was further elevated through a remix featuring Canadian superstar Drake and British rapper Skepta, helping expand its reach beyond Africa.
The latest milestone also marks Wizkid‘s 18th song across all credits to surpass 100 million streams on Spotify, reinforcing his position as one of the most streamed and influential African artists in the world.
